CONTIKI BASEMENT, LONDON
Established in New Zealand in 1962, Contiki specialise in globe-trotting adventures for 18-35 year olds to sight-see, socialise and find adventure across Europe, Russia, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, North America, South America, and Asia. A launch pad, a hub, a meeting space......The Contiki Basement is a place for travelers to meet up and book activities in London, before heading off on the European leg of their journey around the globe.
We were approached to revitalise the interior which was lacking character and identity and had no real connection to the brand values. The design focuses on bringing people together, through communal seating, comfortable lounge spaces and technology. Out went the traditional internet cafe and redundant laptops and in came digital photo booths and a communal kitchen space with integrated ipads. Bespoke artwork and hand drawn maps were installed on site by the talented Soulful Creative helping define the individual spaces.
